Manager of Operations

Justin Nichols serves as the Garrett Planning Network’s Manager of Operations. He oversees the use of technology, systems and processes to effectively manage the internal operations of the Network. Nichols also works with prospective Garrett Members who are interested in joining the Network. Nichols shares the many ways the Garrett Planning Network helps an advisor start a fee-only, hourly financial planning business, as well as how the Network supports an advisor throughout the life of their business.

Director of Member Services

Jamie Breeden specializes in helping Garrett members realize maximum value from the Network. As Director of Member Services, she is “information central” and serves as the primary contact person for members. She also supervises essential operations, coordinates the annual retreat, orchestrates the company newsletter and helps to monitor and streamline the discussions and documents on Garrett’s members-only Knowledge Bank.

Member Services Support

Andrea Hargitt serves as Member Services Support for the Garrett Planning Network. She excels at project management as well as coordinating and organizing activities and schedules. She assists the Network with website maintenance, application processing, and planning and logistics for Garrett’s annual retreat. She also fields prospective client inquiries, prepares event summaries for webinars, manages the Network’s continuing education program, contributes to the company newsletter and provides executive support to the Garrett headquarters.

Marketing Communications Coach

Marie Swift, founder and principal of Impact Communications, is Marketing Communications Coach for the Garrett Planning Network and its publicist. In 2004, she worked with Garrett and Network Members on their popular book, Just Give Me the Answer$: Expert Advisors Address Your Most Pressing Financial Questions, and she was a contributor to Garrett's Guide to Financial Planning: How to Capture the Middle Market and Increase your Profits.

Small Business Coach

Mary Lacey Gibson, owner and founder of Mary Lacey Gibson Small Business Coaching, has counseled, coached and educated business owners for over 15 years in virtually every industry and at every developmental stage. Gibson brings this wide range of experience to Garrett Planning Network Members as the Network Small Business Coach.

Compliance Coaches

Dawn Bond is Executive Vice President of Compliance Advisory Services, a consulting firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. Bond has been in the securities industry for over 14 years. She holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 securities licenses and has completed the study programs for the CFP® certification.

LaVerne Zellmann, president of Compliance Advisory Services, formed an advisory services company in November 1996 to provide compliance consulting to Broker/Dealers and Investment Advisers. Zellmann joined forces with Dawn Bond to incorporate Compliance Advisory Services in February 1999. She has also been an instructor for BISYS Education Services Series 6 and Series 63 classes.

Credit Coach

Helping consumers find reliable answers to their credit questions has been the theme of Gerri Detweiler’s work for the past twenty years. She has been interviewed for more than 3000 news stories, is an international speaker and has testified before Congress. As a consultant to the Garrett Planning Network, Detweiler coaches Garrett members on how to help their clients tackle credit and debt issues.

Productivity Coach

Cynthia Kyriazis, founder and president of Productivity Partners, Inc., serves as a Productivity Coach for the Garrett Planning Network. She is a leading provider of training in the topic areas of time, information and decision making management. Her company focuses on the principles, strategies and tasks which help decision-makers and their teams improve focus, execution and profitability.

Tax, Estate & Financial Planning Coach

Randy Gardner is a Professor of Tax and Financial Planning and Director of the Certificate in Financial Planning Program at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. He is coauthor of 101 Tax Saving Ideas and Tools and Techniques of Income Tax Planning and is a highly rated discussion leader. In 1997, he was recognized as Educator of the Year by the Missouri Society of CPAs. Gardner brings his teaching experience and tax planning expertise to Garrett Members as the Network Tax, Estate & Financial Planning Coach.

Productivity & Practice Management Coach

Kip Gregory, principal of The Gregory Group, serves as the Garrett Planning Network's Productivity & Practice Management Coach, providing strategic and tactical guidance to Sheryl Garrett and the Network as a whole.

Kip has been the driving force behind the development and implementation of Garrett's Knowledge Bank initiative, a proprietary online catalog of member best practices designed to help both new and veteran Network Members accelerate their business success. He also acts as personal coach to Sheryl Garrett, facilitator of the Network's Member Advisory Board and presenter for various online events.
