“I joined the Garrett Network in 2004 after 18 plus years in the financial services industry. I had worked for a major mutual fund company for 10 years and for a number of wealth managers. The concept of providing fee-only, hourly or project planning had interested me for a number of years. After I read Garrett's Guide to Financial Planning and spoke with Sheryl, I knew that this business model was for me. I liked the idea of having a template to follow in establishing my business. Not having to reinvent the wheel has been essential to running a successful business. I remain a member because of the other members of the Network, the Annual Retreat and the ongoing support, ideas, business enhancement and client referrals that come from being a member. As long as I am doing fee-only financial planning, I will never consider leaving the Garrett Planning Network! Attending Retreat is a must! I look forward to seeing Garrett friends and sharing ideas the most, but hearing from experts such as Michael Kites, David Penn Henry and Rick Ferri will also make Retreat time well spent. My revenue growth has been in the 20-50% range every year. I would like to keep that in the upper range for the next several years and I know that remaining a member of the Garrett Planning Network will help me with this goal.”
