One of my favorite projects is planning our annual retreat. Our entire staff is involved almost a year out working on creating an educational and interactive experience that fuels our new members and refuels our seasoned members.
Imagine four days richly filled with educational sessions led by industry experts discussing real life experiences and best practices with Network members, and meeting with hand selected sponsors who offer products and services that best meet the needs of our clients. Sessions have covered everything from asset allocation and investment vehicles to working with media and business productivity. Some of our sessions also qualify for formal continuing education opportunities. This is a great way for you to take advantage of free credits while keeping up-to-date with industry standards. Other sessions, like panel discussions, offer insights into the real lives of Network members. Listen, learn and ask questions. These sessions are ripe learning opportunities.
By far, when we have polled members and asked what they most value about retreat, they have shared that it is meeting with fellow members. We indeed are like-minded individuals in how we serve our clients, but we are equally as diverse in creative energies and resources. That is the strength of our network and the retreat provides that forum for exchange.
