Hi, this is Justin Nichols and I’m the Manager of Operations for the Garrett Planning Network.

We’re constantly learning, and therefore improving member services, and I’d like to share with you a few examples of how we strive to constantly improve the wide range of services and benefits we offer our members. I’ll tell you briefly about our getting started guides, partnerships and alliances, and finally, best practices.

Through the collective effort of all our members, we are now able to offer our members the following getting started guides:

• First, the Quick Start Manual... The Quick Start Manual is a reference guide to help advisors get their planning businesses up and running quickly and efficiently. This manual stresses the items new advisors should focus on during their first three months as they are setting up their business.
• We also have the Garrett Compliance Manual, which is a template document that can be easily personalized to become the single point of reference for all your compliance policies and procedures.
• We also offer the Garrett Business Plan Guide. We encourage all members to adopt, implement and customize a working business plan with the help of our Business Planning Coach, Mary Gibson.

Now for partnerships and alliances... As a result of the growth of our network we are getting more opportunities to partner with other organizations. We are proud to have formed a marketing partnership with The Motley Fool, one of the most admired financial brands in the world. The Motley Fool has long admired Garrett’s approach to Fee-Only financial advice and we are fans of The Fool’s approach to everything they do to educate, empower and amuse the public and their members about investing. The Motley Fool has exclusively endorsed and is promoting the services of financial advisors affiliated with the Garrett Planning Network.

And now for best practices and benchmarking… We periodically survey our members to get feedback on what’s working best for them, as well as other information that will help us to create Garrett best practices and also provide a foundation for benchmarking performance.

These are just a few of the ways that we work to constantly improve the services and benefits we offer our Garrett advisors.
