 Justin Nichols, CFP® Justin Nichols serves as the Garrett Planning Network’s Manager of Operations. He oversees the use of technology, systems and processes to effectively manage the internal operations of the Network. Nichols also works with prospective Garrett Members who are interested in joining the Network. Nichols shares the many ways the Garrett Planning Network helps an advisor start a fee-only, hourly financial planning business, as well as how the Network supports an advisor throughout the life of their business. Nichols leads Garrett’s monthly Technology calls to help members use technology to work more efficiently. He is the on-staff expert for the Garrett Utility System (GUS™), Garrett’s proprietary software system, and leads the GUS™ portion of the Garrett three-day intensive training workshop for new members. Nichols is the staff liaison between the Network’s Member Advisory Board and Garrett Headquarters. Nichols is also in charge of the MOAA-Garrett partnership. Prior to joining Garrett in 2004, Nichols was a Telecommunications and High-Tech Consultant with Accenture and a Quality Assurance Team Leader at Sprint. Also in 2004, he completed the CFP® certification coursework through the College for Financial Planning. He is a 1999 graduate of Kansas State University’s College of Business Administration with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. In addition to his roles at the Garrett Planning Network, Nichols serves as Treasurer for the Garrett Financial Education Alliance, a non-profit financial education foundation. Nichols also serves as a Financial Coach through the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection’s Stewardship Ministry. |
